Cozy Earth review: I tested the buzzy bedding and sleepwear brand. Here are its best, most comfy pieces
From bamboo sleep masks and sheet sets to waffle bath towels, these are some of the brand’s best products
silverguide.site –
As its name suggests, Cozy Earth initially caught our attention for two reasons: its ultra-comfortable bedding, loungewear and sleepwear, and its sustainable production practices, such as sourcing ethically harvested viscose bamboo (said to be gentler on the planet).
After rigorous testing, though, we can attest that the buzzy brand indeed earns its hype. (It has appeared on Oprah’s favorite things list for seven consecutive years, among other accolades.) This is a brand that has appeared time and time again in our best-of lists.
I’ve personally tested Cozy Earth products for years as a longtime product reviewer, so below, I’ve curated some of the brand’s best, including a sleep mask, bath towels, pyjama set and a very fuzzy pillow (with some quality caveats you’ll also find below). For this brand guide, I also pulled some new samples to try, which will be donated to those in need once testing is complete.

Adjustable Bamboo Sleep Mask
In her search for the best sleep mask, contributor Juno DeMelo called Cozy Earth’s Adjustable Bamboo Sleep Mask “the sensory-deprivation tank of sleep masks” for its ability to effectively block out light. Its overstuffed construction coated in the brand’s signature soft bamboo viscose material tightly envelopes your ears, helping any earbuds or earplugs stay put.
As a mom to a toddler with another on the way, I’ve gone through the paces of finding the perfect sleep mask to lull me to sleep when the world feels impossibly overstimulating. I refuse to sleep without this mask, which I’ve been using nightly for more than three years, and which I’ve recommended every mom and new mom invest in (or request as a gift) for rejuvenating sleep. And while DeMelo says the sleep mask runs small and would pose an issue for those with a larger head circumference, the mask tends to stretch out over time, like a well-loved shoe. Unlike those cheap eye masks you get for free on airplanes, I appreciate its adjustable Velcro strap for a bespoke fit. (My strap has begun to start peeling off the fabric after several hundred wears, but I’m still the best-rested new mom on this side of the equator.)
Waffle Bath Towels
When you step out of the shower shivering, you need a towel to get the job done quickly. That, and more, is why Cozy Earth’s Waffle Bath Towels stood out in our testing of the very best bath towels. As reviewer Jon Chan explains, its pitted waffle-like design is engineered to create additional moisture-absorbing surface area, allowing your towel to do more work with less fabric. Its thin material also requires less time to dry, which is a bonus if you’re hoping to avoid mildew and odor buildup. His samples had a couple snags in the fabric, but those could be attributed either to a defect or shipping issue.
Without our code, a pair currently costs $108, so these are not the best-priced towels on the market. However, you’re essentially getting two towel styles in one with their dual-sided fabric: an airy waffle and more plush terry. In our testing, we also found these towels to feel larger in surface area than other top models, allowing you to get drier faster, which comes in handy on those busy days you’re running late.
Bamboo Stretch-Knit Long Sleeve Pajama Set
Word on the street (my mom group chat) is that every new mom needs a pair of temperature-regulating bamboo pyjamas with a button-down closure to facilitate breastfeeding. (Yes, the recommendation is that specific.) When I had my daughter, these pyjamas felt like a respite against my sensitive and overstimulated skin. The brand’s signature bamboo viscose fabric provides comforting coverage without overheating the body during everything from warm climates to hormone spikes. But you don’t have to have a newborn in tow to benefit from the button-down closure – it adds a certain level of elegance and structure to the pyjama set that I’m trying to embrace more often while at home (as the saying goes, look good, feel good).
These pyjamas do develop deep wrinkles after sitting folded in a drawer for weeks. But I tend to wear these in my quietest, most isolated moments, so no one is seeing them. The matching pants, unbelievably soft and forgiving on a fluctuating midsection, are made long even in the regular sizing, so I’ve donated them to my tall husband. If you’re on the shorter side like I am, you might prefer the same pyjama set in the shorts version.
Luxe Bath Towel Set
I look forward to showering, but never the startling cold air proceeding it. Making the daunting transition that much more bearable are Cozy Earth’s thick and plush towels, made of a cotton and bamboo viscose blend in a heavyweight 600 GSM (grams per sq metre) construction. Unlike the waffle towels that topped our best bath towels list, you’re going to want to hang around in these for their comfort alone. Like a bathrobe, they cocoon your body in warmth.
When I needed to replace my decades-old towels a couple years ago, I got this luxurious set that comes with two bath towels, two hand cloths and two wash cloths, which all look pristine even after heavy-duty use. They have since matted after rigorous use, but I prefer the lived-in feel of a thinner, rougher hand towel or wash cloth that can dry thoroughly. These towels are indeed as luxe as they self-proclaim, and not a bad price for an eight-piece set when you consider how well they stand up to daily use and frequent laundry loads.
Bamboo Stretch-Knit Taper Pants
Dejected about the too-long pants in the bamboo pyjama set, I wanted to try that same fabric in a silhouette I could be confident would suit my petite frame. These tapered pants made of bamboo viscose and a touch stretchy spandex came to my rescue. Unlike millennial-approved joggers that I’ve been told are no longer cool, these tapered pants converge at the ankle, like leggings but even more subtle, to eliminate any unwanted dragging. They’re a phenomenal pair of pants to wear at home when your AC breaks down, or even to run quick errands in – with a long shirt to cover your bottom, as the thin material may result in some underwear outline sightings. But boy oh boy, might they just be the most comfortable pair of pants you put on all year, making any potential embarrassment well worth it.
Lakehouse Clog
When I stepped into the Lakehouse Clogs for the first time, I audibly whispered to an empty house, “Ohh, these are good.” I’m a big fan of a house shoe – a slipper with the architecture to survive outdoors – and these fit the bill. They’ve got a cushioned suede foot bed to absorb impact, arch support for stability and a roomy toe box that all support natural gait biomechanics. In one weekend, I was able to comfortably wear them around the house to perform hours of chores, though I made the mistake of taking them on a 45-minute power walk (their backless design forced my toes to cling to their foot beds). Their style is best described as Birkenstock-meets-The Row, lending them a Bohemian yet polished edge. That said, though their 100% Italian wool felt upper is indeed elevated enough to pair with jeans or trousers, I don’t have confidence they’ll stand up to a rainy day, making them better suited for indoor wear or bone-dry climates.
Bubble Cuddle Pillow
The Bubble Cuddle Pillow would have been one of my favorite new acquisitions if it weren’t for the synthetic smell noticeable upon unwrapping it. Thankfully, after three days, it subsided almost fully. It’s unbelievably soft, it’s got grooves that lend it extra visual interest and it has a sinking plush feel that cuddles your back. While pricey for a pillow, it’s a low-lift way to incorporate a bit of a playfulness into your living room or bedroom setup. For a more classic look, opt for the Cuddle Pillow featuring that same high-pile faux fur coating without the grooves, available in easy-to-style neutrals such as walnut or creme.
Luxe Bath Robe
I’d never been a bathrobe person until I put on Cozy Earth’s Luxe Bath Robe. As the brand’s most popular option, I was curious to see how it fared against the aforementioned Luxe Towels of a similar bamboo-cotton construction. Upon first wear, I noticed this bath robe boasted my ideal consistency – not too plush and not too thin – making it a garment worth “robe rotting” in for hours. It doesn’t win any awards in the style department, however, as it’s got straightforward front pockets and a tie waist, but I can already tell after a handful of wears that this is a no-nonsense housecoat any homebody would appreciate.
Bamboo Sheet Set
Cozy Earth first launched in 2010 with this ever-popular bamboo sheets set made of cooling bamboo viscose, and having tested my fair share of high-end bed sheets, I see the appeal. They have the texture of a well-worn T-shirt with a semi-slick texture. While I don’t tend to overheat or sweat at night, these might be dream sheets for those who do. The fitted sheet was also remarkably easy to fasten atop my mattress due to its generous surface area and helpfully labelled “side” tag to assist with orientation.
However, a fair warning: I can’t yet speak to my new set’s longevity, but my friend says hers developed holes after only a few nights of use. Your mileage may vary.
