Danni Wyatt-Hodge powered England into the semi-finals with a well-crafted 65 in a 38-run victory over the West Indies at Lord’s. That made it four wins from four in the home tournament after they posted 186 for seven, with Wyatt-Hodge hitting eight fours in a fine 42-ball innings before being run out. The victory secured a last-four berth and top spot in Group B, ensuring no semi-final meeting with the Group A leaders and six-time T20 champions, Australia. That dominance has faded fast, with the team third in the constructors’ standings, a whopping ⁠121 points behind the pacesetters, Mercedes, after seven rounds. Oscar Piastri ‌has had an up-and-down season, ‌with the Australian failing to start the first two races in Australia and China but then finishing ‌second in Japan and third in Miami. His teammate Lando Norris, reigning champion and last year’s winner in Spielberg, was second in Miami and third in Barcelona this month.
