Western Australia police have appealed for help in finding a 10-year-old girl who went missing from Perth’s outer northern suburbs on Saturday.
Lyndel Ningella has not been seen since early evening when police said the young girl was seen leaving a home in Butler at about 5:45pm on 15 August.
She was last seen wearing black shorts and a black jumper and is described as being about 160cm tall, of medium build and has long brown hair with blonde ends and dark brown eyes.
Police believe that she may have travelled up to 80km away and could be in the Kwinana, Leda, Parmelia or Wellard areas of Perth’s coastal outer suburbs.
WA police are requesting that anyone who sees Lyndel or has information regarding her whereabouts contact police immediately.
Police had mistakenly alerted that she was located on Monday afternoon but several hours later they reissued an alert saying she was still missing.
Asst Supt Darren Hart of Mandurah district police said he was concerned for her safety.
“We hold concerns for Lyndel due to her young age and believe she may be staying with family and associates,” he said at a media conference.
“It’s believed she may have travelled to the Wellard areaand was possibly there across the weekend.
“We are concerned for her safety in that she is a 10-year-old girl who is making her own way in the world.”
